JavaScript (available since Netscape's Navigator 2) allows authors to add special features to their web sites.
But it needs some care! I have seen web sites that would display a JavaScript error
with every page I opened. I could use the site, but it didn't appear professional at all!
And even worse: I have seen a site where JavaScript was supposed to give some visual
feedback when the mouse cursor moved over a link - the page was absolutely unusable
because I only got JavaScript errors when I tried to follow a link.
I have a set of browsers (including IE 2, 3, 4, Netscape 2, 3, 4, Mosaic) I use to test
my site.
Nobody's perfect! Please send me a note if you encounter any JavaScript errors.
